Razer Opus:

Razer Opus is probably the first product presented by razer that is not a gaming gadget.

Razer’s record so far shows that it works on a “for gamers” theme.

Razer designs its gadgets in such a way that they look strong and attractive.

Their names are also often named after dangerous or poisonous creatures.

Keeping such names can also be Razer’s marketing strategy.

He wants to give this message to his users that his gadgets are made for hardcore gamers and his gadgets make the user more powerful than his opponents.

However, along with having attractive designs, they have the high-performance ability also.

Thus Razer has become a reliable brand of gaming products.

But that time the matter is different.

This time the name of the headset presented is not after a poisonous snake but it is Opus, which means musical composition.

Since this headset will help you to enjoy music, you can say that its name suits its function.

Let’s take a look at the specifications of the Razer Opus.

Razer Opus: Specifications

High-Quality Sound:

Razer Opus is a THX-certified headphone set. It has a rich and balanced sound giving you the experience of theater.

When you are watching a movie, listening to music, or playing a game, its high-fidelity sound gives real enjoyment.

Active Noise Cancellation technology:

Razer Opus is equipped with Active Noise Cancellation technology.

When you are calling or listening to music, the unwanted outer noise becomes a problem for you.

To deal with this problem most of the quality headphones are coming with active noise cancellation technology.

In Active Noise Cancellation Technology, additional microphones are attached to the headphone system. These microphones detect the frequency of ambient noise, generate waves of equal frequency, and cancel them out. Thus, unwanted ambient noise is canceled out before it enters your ears.

Razer Opus is powered by advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology.

Each ear cup of the headphones has a noise canceling-microphone outside which cancels the unwanted ambient noise and provides you a peaceful atmosphere.

It allows its user to experience the depth of sound without any disturbance.

Quick Attention Mode:

When our device is on active noise cancellation mode, it protects us from the noise around us.
But sometimes we also need to connect with the outside world. Like while crossing the street or listening to someone.

In such a situation, we have to put our device’s active noise cancellation system on hold so that we can hear the sounds around us.

Has Razer Opus quick attention feature?

Yes, it has. Razer Opus is equipped with the quick attention feature.

If you need to keep the ANC on hold to join the ambient atmosphere, you just have to press and hold the ANC button. You will get a sense of your surroundings.

Auto Pause And Play Mode:

Razer Opus is equipped with an auto-pause and play feature. When you remove your headband, the headphones go into pause mode.

If you put them back on, you’ll find them ready to let you enjoy music or movies again.

Razer Opus: Design and look

The headset is not only attractive to look at but also comfortable to wear.

The headset is beautiful to look at.

The THX logo has been given on each of its cups, indicating that the headphones have received the reputed THX certificate.

The adjustable headband above the cups has “RAZER” written on either side, indicating the Razer brand name.

The headset is comfortable to wear.

The grip of the headband on the ears is very good. Their ear cups are made of rich leatherette.
Their foamy ear cups are quite comfortable.

On the left ear cup, there is a noise cancellation button and power button along with an LED power indicator.

And, on the right cup, there are volume control buttons and a pause/play function key.

The headband is adjustable to be worn around your neck when it is not in use.

Plus, its cups are designed to be space-saving and foldable so that the headset can be placed in a small space.

However, if the cups were of a slightly larger size, it would have been better. But they are not small enough to complain about.

Overall, it can be said that the headset is attractive and comfortable. Even if the user wears them for a long time, he will not feel any problem.

Driver Size:

The size of the driver is one of the main important factors of an audio device.

The driver converts the electric current into sound. So the sound we listen to via headphones or earphones is generated by the drivers.

Therefore the larger the drivers the more amount of sound they can generate.

What is the size of the drivers of Razer Opus?

The size of the drivers of Razer Opus is 40 mm. The drivers of the headset are large enough to deliver a good amount of sound.

That’s why the sound quality of the device is awesome.

Frequency Response:

Frequency response refers to the ability of an instrument to reproduce sound.

As we know that humans are able to hear only the sound of wavelengths falling between 20 Hz to 20000 Hz.

Sounds of wavelength less than 20 Hz and above 20 kHz cannot be heard by us.

Hence good audio equipment is expected to reproduce the full range of audible sounds of wavelength from 20 Hz to 20000 Hz.

What is the frequency response of Razer Opus?

The frequency response of the Razer Opus ranges from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

This means that it is capable of reproducing all audible sounds.

It is fully dedicated to giving full enjoyment of music to the user.

Connections Modes:

  • Bluetooth
  • 3.5mm Jack

Razer Opus is equipped with a 3.5mm jack along with Bluetooth.

Currently, the trend of taking 3.5mm jack out of equipment has increased. But the Razer Opus comes with a 3.5 mm jack.

This is a very good facility given by the company because with the help of this jack the user can connect to many types of devices.

The Opus comes with an adapter to plug into an airplane audio jack and a premium carrying case to make your travel a pleasant one.

The ear cups can be folded and adjusted comfortably in a small space.

Razer Opus is equipped with a powerful battery that can run for 25 hours even on ANC mode.
It can be said to be a good battery backup.

Razer Opus is a headphone set that comes packed with various advanced specifications which include THX-certified sound, ANC, quick attention mode, autoplay and pause features, etc.

The price of the headset is also reasonable.

If you are looking to buy a good headphone set from a reputed brand that is also reasonably priced, then Razer Opus can be a good option for you.
