There is a piece of good news for nature lovers interested in wildlife. The ancient elephant fossils have been found in Jim Corbett National Park.

This is a stone-like material. According to Geologist scientists, this can be the jaw of an ancient elephant.

According to estimates, this jaw may be approximately 1.2 million years old.

The remains of ancient elephants have been found in the Bijrani Range of Corbett National Park during the visit of USAC scientists.

Dr. M. P. S. Bisht, Director, and Geologist of USAC has told that the history of wildlife on Earth has been millions of years old. In ancient times, the size of their body was different.

Elephants are the largest mammal creatures found on the land. It is believed that the elephant’s existence on earth is as old as the human being.

Man and elephants have come together for thousands of years. Mammoth gets a mention in ancient Indian stories.

Now after the discovery of 1.2 million years old fossils of elephants, there will be a new light on the history of elephants. It will help us to open the mystery of prehistoric elephants.

It is believed that in ancient times, mammoths were much larger and heavier than today’s elephants.

Corbett Park and elephants have millions of years old relationship:

Jim Corbett National Park is India’s oldest sanctuary. It is located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand.

Due to its dense forests, grasslands, river belt, and lake, this sanctuary is quite suitable for wildlife. There are many types of trees and plants. Various types of wildlife along with different species of birds are found here.

Due to its beauty and biodiversity, the sanctuary is considered a paradise for wildlife lovers.

The Bijrani range of Jim Corbett Park is the most suitable accommodation for wildlife due to its dense and deep forests and grasslands. It is believed that this forest has been suitable for elephants for millions of years.

The discovery of the 1.2 million years old jaw of the elephant can be evidence of the fact that the history of elephants in Corbett Park is millions of years old.

In the past, evidence of the existence of great organisms such as dinosaurs has also been found in this sanctuary.
